FRAGMENTOS (2026)

Fragmentos arises from a need to revisit elements present in the artist `s work, such as movement, sequence, repetition, based on an observation and interpretation of the temporality of these same elements in a totally different space and object, allowing a new approach and reflection on the same topic of discourse.

We observe a set of photographs based on the manipulation of chinese ink with water in a glass container, in which the artist's idea was to create a set of rhythms, movements, random notes based on shapes and drawings with the black tone of the ink originated with the throwing of ink into the water, that is, to make these elements central to the composition of the image.

The works that result from this manipulation emerge from coincidences present in the work, between sequential patterns and imperfect cycles. Through shapes, the artist allows us to experience the work in a more free way, whether it is attributed to diverse visual elements, or transports us to new dimensions.

Finding in the “drawings” of the works a way of experiencing the thought that exists behind them, the project aims to bring together photography and plastic art, based on the collective and the intersection of these disciplines, highlighting the possible interpretations and connections present in these same “drawings”. It is, in a way, a reflection between the visible and the invisible, something that is at the center of her practice.

“Whatever it shows and whatever its way, a photo is always invisible: it is not what we see”
